Community Grants - The Great Smokies Health Foundation received 38 applications for the FY 2025-2027 Community Grant funding, totaling a record amount of more than $529,000 in funding requests. This funding amount exceeds past requests received in any previous year and certainly exceeded the grantmaking budget for the upcoming two-year cycle.

High Impact Health Initatives Grants
This is a new GSHF funding initiative targeted to integrate with, expand, or initiate school-based mental health services based on specific elements of the State of North Carolina Department of Public Instruction’s (NCDPI) Project AWARE/ACTIVATE model and ultimately develop a sustainable infrastructure for school-based mental health programs and services.
